Dual Threat. DFM and Auto Start/Stop Disabler

The Range DFM Module is designed for quick and easy installation, taking just minutes to plug directly into the vehicles ECM. Offering true plug and play performance, this module is a dual threat solution for your GM truck or SUV. It not only disables the Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) system, allowing the engine to run on all 8 cylinders all the time, but it also disables the engine's Auto Start Stop feature. This means you can enjoy a more responsive driving experience without the interruptions or long term side effects these factory systems create. This module will disable your Auto Start/Stop feature, but we do not control the in-cab button on the dash. So that button will still illuminate on/off as it did from the factory. Pressing the manual button may change the switch illumination and your dash display signal, but has no affect on the Start/Stop system, as it is permanently always disabled with our module installed on the ECM NOTE: Some vehicles may still engage 0-cylinder mode while coasting with this product installed. During extensive testing, it was found that completely disabling this function led to undesirable driving conditions and safety concerns. Disabling 0-cylinder mode while coasting resulted in a notable decrease in fuel efficiency, with a loss of 2-3 MPG, as the engine continues to fuel and fire the injectors even during coasting. This fueling also creates an unsettling sensation during deceleration, as it feels like the vehicle is still accelerating slightly, despite 0% throttle input. This requires harder braking, especially in scenarios like towing or descending a long grade, leading to undesirable driving conditions.
